The urban retreat is somewhat deserted, as authorities try to understand what is going on. The park is home to an estimated 12 coyotes, and people feeding wildlife is a large problem, likely contributing to the attacks, an expert said. Human encroachment into areas where coyotes have lived without people may be causing difficulties.
