MTL: Sivakumar asks employers to show more concern, help workers if they face flood disasters
KOTA BHARU: Employers have been asked to show more concern for workers if they face flood disasters during the Northeast Monsoon (MTL) season which begins this month.Human Resource Minister V. Sivakumar said during the MTL season, flash floods and major floods can occur not only in the East Coast but also in other areas.“I advise all workers across the country to be careful when faced with this situation,“ he said.“I also ask all employers to be more concerned should there be flood incidents or the like…they should be ready to help (their) employees in order to help ease their hardship.”Sivakumar said this to reporters after attending the 2023 Kelantan-level Ministry of Human Resources Customer Day Programme here today.The Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) has forecast four to six episodes of heavy rain during the MTL season from Saturday (Nov 11) until March 2024.According to METMalaysia…
