Sky News Contributor and YouTuber Daisy Cousens says the High Court unanimously throwing out the case for ‘double-dip’ casual pay is “so forthright” and makes total sense.
On Wednesday the High Court unanimously ruled against a potential avenue for long-term casual employees to claim the same rights and benefits as full-time or part-time workers.
“The idea that casual employees should be paid the loading plus sick leave and given all the benefits of full-time and part-time workers get,” Ms Cousens told Sky News host Peter Gleeson.
“The whole point of having that 25 per cent loading is to compensate for the benefits they do not get.”
